Here’s the message from Kile
I cannot imagine a safer medical facility than Blue Water Spa / Blue Water Plastic Surgery. We are professionally cleaned every morning. Everything that touches a client or patient is a single-use disposable item, or it is sterilized. Our facility is a private single-story building. Clients come in the front door, and do not have to pass through, a public lobby or use a public elevator. All of our furniture is medical-grade and sanitized multiple times each day. Our waiting room has multiple individual seating areas with partitions and privacy. This is how we have always operated. In recent weeks, a staff member opens the door for clients and leads them to a powder room where they wash their hands, after which they are rewarded with a bar of organic soap created by a woman who escaped human trafficking.
Clients and staff members are screened. Staff members must agree to our social distancing protocol and anyone who has crossed state borders must stay away for 14 days.
This sounds safe. But is it enough?
In a recent C.D.C. report, 20 percent of hospitalized patients and 12 percent of ICU patients were between the ages of 20 and 44.
Young, healthy people have the potential then to spread it to someone who does have a condition that none of us knew about, and cause them to have a disastrous outcome.
Blue Water Plastic Surgery and Blue Water Spa have made the decision to close before this decision is made for us in the form of a government -ordered mandatory closure. It is the right thing and the safest thing to do. But it is the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make. We are temporarily suspending normal business activities at a time when demand is high. We value each of our patients & clients and we implore them to stay home.
We will make virtual appointments and curbside pick-up and delivery of products available. Stay tuned for ways in which you can support our staff and take care of yourself.
We believe we may be the first plastic surgery office & medical spa in NC to make this difficult decision. We ask our colleagues to consider doing the same for the sake of our community. We plan to resume normal business activities when it is safe to do so. Please follow us for updates.
We are so very thankful to our loyal clients and to our amazing staff. There are ways in which you can support us. We will have updates by Monday.
Please all of you stay safe and stay strong.
