Dermal Filler Injectable Areas
NASIOLABIAL FOLDS (“LAUGH LINES”):
This area of volume loss has to be injected with the least amount of product and expertly placed based upon assessment. As we age one loses subcutaneous fat loss and sometimes skin laxity as well.
MARIONETTE LINES:
This area of volume loss has to be injected with the least amount of product and expertly placed based upon assessment. The low face loses subcutaneous fat loss and sometimes skin laxity.
MID FACE (“CHEEKS” “APPLES”):
This area of volume loss can contribute to a sunken apple of the cheek or overall mid face volume loss contributing to the face looking hollow or less full than when in youth. The top of the cheek, or zygomatic arch, can also lose volume leaving the face looking less contoured or sleek. This injection has to be conservative to provide an very natural and contoured appearance.
TEMPLES:
This area of volume loss can contribute to the exposing the natural shape of the human skull by losing subcutaneous volume loss. When bony structures can be identified, this can be a sign of aging.
JAWLINE:
The area of volume loss in the jawline can sometimes make a typical angular face and make it look like it has jowls. Injecting a conservative amount of dermal fillers in this area can help contour and soften the jawline and make the appearance more angled and contoured
LIPS-LIP BORDER:
Whether there is existing volume loss or this area would contribute to a more youthful and aesthetically appealing look, dermal filler in the lip area can assist in both. This area has to have the appropriate ratio and must be injected to give a natural and youthful appearance. By doing so, you avoid a “duck like” or unnatural injection.
NASAL BRIDGE:
The nasal bridge can present with a dorsal hump or “bump”. Filler can be added to the area above or below in order to give an angled profile. Filler can also sometimes correct nasal bridge asymmetries.
HANDS:
Volume loss in the hands occurs over time and can be restored with dermal filler. Hand volume loss is often an area that shows signs of ageing and can also give a less then optimal feeling or texture. Dermal fillers in the hands, when expertly placed, look and feel younger.
PINNA (EAR LOBE):
Earlobe volume loss can occur due to ageing or from trauma (piercings, wearing heavy earrings over prolonged periods of time). Dermal fillers can be placed in the pinna to provide both aesthetic and structural improvements.
