Emsella For Men

Enhance Sexual performance FDA with a simple treatment approved for Urinary Incontinence

How Does EMSELLA Work?

Emsella is a chair that utilizes electromagnetic energy to deliver thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions in a single session. These contractions re-educate the muscles of incontinent patients. During a 30 minute session, patients remain fully clothed and sit on a chair, positioning themselves in a way to stimulate the muscles of the pelvic floor. Treatments are painless and no down time is required. The Emsella chair will stimulate the muscles of the pelvic floor. There is no sexual sensation during a treatment.

Strong pelvic floor muscles gives men control over your bladder and bowel. For many men, the most significant change is improved sleep, as a stronger pelvic floor may mean fewer trips to the bathroom during the night and continued sleep. Weakened pelvic floor muscles mean your internal organs are not fully supported and you may have difficulty controlling the release of urine. Anecdotally, men have also shared that sexual performance and pleasure can be a side effect of emsella treatments as a stronger pelvic floor can mean more powerful and lasting erections and more satisfying sexual experiences for a man and his partner.

What is Pelvic Floor Muscle Therapy for Men?

Improving the function of the pelvic floor muscles is important for both men and women. These muscles support the bladder, rectum, and reproductive organs like the
prostate. The pelvic floor muscles play an important role in bladder and bowel control and sexual function.
The Emsella machine is FDA approved to treat urinary incontinence in men and women. In a 28 minute session, approximately 11,000 perfect kegel exercises are performed.
During a treatment, one sits on the Emsella chair while fully clothed. There is a sensation of muscles working, but there is no sexual sensation associated with Emsella treatments. At Blue Water Spa, we see both men and women for Emsella treatments who are in great shape in all areas of the body and who want to work out the base of the core, or the pelvic floor. Working out the pelvic floor is like working out any other area of the body in that one can see improvement where there may be weakness, but it can also be a preventative measure for men and women who want to maintain the health and strength of their pelvic floor.

Many men, particularly men over 40, may report the need to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Some men need to get up multiple times per night to go to the bathroom which can affect the quality of sleep and overall health. Other men report increased sexual satisfaction with longer lasting erections and stronger orgasms after a series of treatments with the Emsella machine.

There are two types of urinary incontinence. Stress incontinence and Urge Incontinence, or an overactive bladder

Stress incontinence occurs when the urethral sphincter, the pelvic floor muscles, or both these structures have been weakened or damaged and cannot dependably hold in urine. Stress incontinence is divided into two subtypes. In urethral hypermobility, the bladder and urethra shift downward when abdominal pressure rises, and there is no hammock-like support for the urethra to be compressed against to keep it closed. In intrinsic sphincter deficiency, problems in the urinary sphincter interfere with full closure or allow the sphincter to pop open under pressure.

If you feel a strong urge to urinate even when your bladder isn’t full, your incontinence might be related to overactive bladder, sometimes called urge incontinence. This condition occurs in both men and women and involves an overwhelming urge to urinate immediately, frequently followed by loss of urine before you can reach a bathroom. Even if you never have an accident, urgency and urinary frequency can interfere with work and a social life because of the need to keep running to the bathroom and, or the need to urinate many times during the night

At Blue Water Spa, we have successfully treated many men and women with the Emsella chair who have experienced a significant improvement in their life due to better sleep, elimination or minimization of urinary incontinence, and improved sexual satisfaction. However, if a person experiences any of the following, we will not perform a treatment, and instead we suggest that a person reach out to their urologist, gynecologist or personal physician for an examination and so that appropriate recommendations can be made

1) Complete loss of bladder control that necessitates wearing a diaper consistently
2) Fecal incontinence
3) Erectile dysfunction
4) Pain during sexual intercourse
5) Pain in or around the genitals
6) Irritation or discomfort around the genitals, anus, or buttocks.

During an Emsella treatment, patients remain fully clothed and there is no physical examination performed prior to a treatment.

Factors like muscle tone, scar tissue, nerve injury, poor coordination and communication
between muscles and nerves, nutrition, psychological and social factors can all impact pelvic and sexual
health. Common conditions treated in our practice include chronic pelvic pain syndrome, sexual pain,
urinary urgency and frequency, urinary incontinence.

Kegel Exercises for Men

Kegel exercises aren’t just for women. They are also beneficial for men. Just like women, men also have a group of muscles known as pelvic floor muscles. These muscles are
responsible for supporting the bladder, rectum, and sexual organs. The pelvic floor muscles form ahammock-like structure that plays a crucial role in urinary control, bowel movements, and sexual function. There are three muscles you need to find and flex to complete a correct Kegel exercise. The first one is the bulbo cavernosus muscle. This muscle is responsible for pushing blood into the penis and helping to expel urine and semen from the urethra and penis. It also assists in erection of the penis. Another muscle is the pubococcygeus muscle. This muscle is one that helps with urination. Just like any other muscles in our body, the muscles of the pelvic floor can weaken over time leading to issues such as urinaryincontinence, erectile dysfunction, and even premature ejaculation. That’s where Kegel exercises come in handy. These exercises are designed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, improve their tone, and enhance their function. Of course Kegel exercises can be performed without the benefit of the Emsella machine. But in a 30 minute session, an Emsella treatment will provide the equivalent of 11,000 perfect Kegels. The transformation can be profound for men and women looking to improvea core to floor workout, and for those looking to improve urinary incontinence of prevent urinary incontinence from becoming a problem.
