Pricing

CoolSculpting actually has cost minimums that practices must adhere to. If a price is too low, that could mean that the practice is using a knock off system. Some practices will advertise a price that is only for one applicator. All CoolSculpting treatments require two applicators to treat both sides of the body. Look for a provider that will assess your body, listen to your needs, and provide a price quote that will be the total amount for your complete service.

Physician Owned & Operated

Look for a practice owned and operated by a physician and not a franchise. Who is the medical doctor who owns and operates the practice? Research the physician on North Carolina’s Medical Board website. A board-certified plastic surgeon should be onsite and should directly oversee treatments. Facilities should adhere to the safety, cleanliness and truth in advertising guidelines outlined by the NC Medical Board and The American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Experience

CoolSculpting results are very technique dependent. Applicators placed inappropriately can significantly impact your treatment results. Be sure the practice you select has performed at least 5,000 CoolSculpting treatments. The technician should have extensive training and experience in the treatment you are seeking.

Customized Treatments

The practice you select should have multiple applicators available. No single applicator works for all areas. CoolSculpting offers newly upgraded CoolAdvantage applicators that cover more surface area and can treat previously untreatable areas such as dense fat on the abdomen or flanks. Seek a practice that has two machines, so areas like arms, sides, etc. can be treated at the same time.

Before and After Images

Look for before and after images of patients from the practice you are intending to receive your CoolSculpting treatment from. Stock images provided by the manufacturer don’t tell you what that practice and their providers can do. Don’t trust a practice that doesn’t want to show you their own work.

Complimentary Consultation – Not a Sales Pitch

Find a stable, financially sound practice that offers no cost consultations and no pressure to purchase. Not everyone is an ideal candidate for CoolSculpting. You want a physician’s office that is prepared to tell you “no” even if you are prepared to pay. If providers have quotas or pressure to perform, people who may not be ideal candidates may pay for a service and end up with a less than ideal result.

Why Blue Water Spa / Michael Law MD?

Blue Water Spa offers the CoolAdvantage and CoolAdvantage Plus applicators from CoolSculpting. These upgraded applicators use the same CoolSculpting technology as the original applicators, which have been incredibly successful worldwide, but with improved comfort, improved treatment coverage, and decreased treatment time. Blue Water Spa offers not only the CoolSculpting treatment with CoolAdvantage applicators, but includes mechanical massage, compression binders, and vibration therapy as part of your service. We want you to achieve the best results possible. Blue Water Spa has been a top CoolSculpting provider in the Triangle for over 4 years and has performed over 5,000 CoolSculpting treatments.

Conservative and Natural Approach

At Blue Water Spa our nurse injectors decipher the necessity of injections, amount of product required and the specific product to be used after they have completed a thorough assessment of your individual needs. A common concern among patients is looking “done.” Our objective with dermal fillers is to provide natural and conservative results leaving the face refreshed, rejuvenated and relaxed.

Surgeon Trained and Supervised

Our nurse injectors are surgeon trained and supervised with dermal filler injections. This in depth training allows the injectors to appreciate the details of volume addition and placement. Placement of the dermal filler has to be meticulous, layered and approached much like surgical fat grafting.

Blunt Tip Microcannulas

A blunt-tip microcannula is a small tube, with an edge that is not sharp, which is designed for atraumatic injections. Not only does this give the nurse injector greater control over where the product is placed, but it also can reduce bruising, swelling and has significantly reduced the discomfort experienced during injection.

Customization of Treatment

While dermal filler placement is priority, it is equally important to customize the product that is injected based on the area that needs enhancement. Not all faces are the same; every human face has unique areas that may lose volume or flatten with age. Assessing the human face is what our nurse injectors are skilled at. One product that may give a patient an aesthetically improved outcome may not give the same results to another. They customize each and every treatment to achieve the optimum aesthetic result.

Nurse Injector Loyalty

At Blue Water Spa you don’t have to worry about having a new nurse injector every 6 month. Melissa, Mari and BJ have been with Blue Water Spa for years and have mastered the art of dermal fillers and BOTOX®. Our clients are continuously satisfied with their performance. They keep well documented medical records to ensure that client dosing and administration is consistent.

Recognition on the National Level

It is important search out a top provider who only performs injectable procedures. The nurses at Blue Water Spa are among the top 1% providers of Juvederm® in the country. Our nurse injectors have a “no pressure” approach and are skilled at providing the least amount of dermal filler possible to give beautiful and natural looking results.

Why Blue Water Spa/Michael Law MD?

Our nurse injectors have injected over 8,000 dermal filler procedures to date and are among the top 1% providers of Juvederm in the country. This advanced training allows them to appreciate aesthetic volume placement unique to each client. Our injectors have a “no pressure” approach and are skilled at providing the least amount of filler possible to give optimal results. At Blue Water Spa/Michael Law MD you don’t have to worry about having a new nurse injector every 6 months, Melissa and Mari have been with Blue Water Spa/Michael

Complimentary Consultation – Not a Sales Pitch

Is there pressure to purchase? Your consultation is a time for you to learn about lasers. Not a sales pitch – no pressure. A complimentary consultation should be provided to determine if you are a good candidate for laser before you commit to any treatment. Not everyone is a candidate for laser treatments. If you aren’t – the provider should tell you. Complimentary consultations for laser services should be provided by a Physician Extender, such as a Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

Experience

Seek a laser center that has extensive experience with providing various laser treatments. An experienced facility should have performed thousands of treatments. Seek a facility that has provided laser training to other medical professionals. Providers should be trained thoroughly by a qualified clinical trainer. Providers should be warm, discreet and accustomed to providing safe laser treatments. Laser technicians should have training in appropriate medical documentation to ensure clear, thorough documentation to ensure you will receive a consistent series of treatments.

Physician Owned & Operated – Not a Franchise

Who is the medical doctor who owns and operates the practice? Research the physician on North Carolina’s Medical Board website. The aesthetic laser center that you elect to receive treatment from should have a board-certified plastic surgeon onsite who directly oversees laser treatments. Variety of Laser Services for All Skin Types

There is not a single laser that effectively treats all skin concerns on all skin types. Dark or tanned skin requires a laser with a long pulse. A longer pulse means that more of the laser energy is delivered to the target rather than to the surface of the skin where pigmentation problems might occur with lasers designed to treat light skin. Laser centers should have multiple lasers to ensure a safe and effective treatment will be performed.

No Packages or Prepayments

Can treatments be purchased per session? Clients will come back because they have great results- not because they have a binding long term contract. Each person will respond a little differently to treatment and some people will require more treatments than others. Others may determine that they wish to discontinue their treatments after one or two sessions.

Patient Safety

Patient safety should be every laser centers top priority. As with any procedure, you should be given an informed consent to read over that explains all the possible risks. At every appointment, a pre-treatment consent reviewing various contraindications such as sun exposure, medication changes, and health history changes as these things could possibly make the skin more sensitive to the thermal energy of the laser should be completed. Smoke evacuators should be placed in each laser room to eliminate potentially dangerous plume for the safety of patients and staff.

Does your skin care facility have a board certified plastic surgeon on site?

Who is overseeing the treatments performed by your aesthetician? When services include microneedling, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion, you want to be sure that a physician qualified to make safe and efficacious decisions is involved. Our aestheticians are mentored by nurse practitioners, nurse injectors, and surgical staff who have extensive experience in the field of medical aesthetics. Many of the products and equipment that we use are exclusive to physicians and not available to all spas and aestheticians.
