Pilonidal Cyst Hair Removal

Pilonidal cysts are cysts that form at the bottom of the tailbone, near the buttocks. Pilonidal cysts can be caused by groups of hairs and skin debris that become trapped in the pores of the skin. The body responds by creating a cyst around the hair.

Pilonidal cysts often abscess and become extremely painful. These abscesses can affect both men and women but are more common in men. It is most common in young men.
